Hi! I am Makenzie (alias, Mochi) and I am a character artist, illustrator, and visual narrator.
I specialize in family themes, character illustration, and story-telling! I really enjoy bring characters o life through small scene driven illustrations and sometimes the stories behind those illustrations are up to the viewer. I also love creating comics and short stories in my spare time!
I'm currently freelancing and looking into future work in the book publishing industry!

I am the co-creator of a webcomic on WEBTOON called The Playpen. It's baaaasically about... "the silly everyday lives of a group of kids, their families, and their friends! They'll go to school, partake in childhood shenanigans, make new friends, and enjoy life!". We work primarily on Slice of Life pieces as it brings us close to family, friends, and modern, every-day, silly social themes. It's fun!
MochiARTs?
It took me a while to finally settle on a solid name for myself. I started with the name Mochi because of my Lalafell character I play in FFXIV named Mochi Mashimaro. I chose that name to match my partners Japanese food themed name, Onigiri [Mashimaro] and thought Mochi would be perfect because well, both are treats made with rice, haha. Eventually friends in game started to call me Mochi outside of the game instead of my published alias, Keke, aaand I went with it and fell completely in love!
Fastforward a few years [2022] and after a season of depression and needing to escape the pressures I was digging myself into, I thought it was time for something new and rebrand a bit. MochiARTs is where that was headed and stayed. I thought it rolled off the tongue and was very much me if I could just draw my signature and logo to express that as well.
Oh yeah, the sprout? Yeah that's a FFXIV thing as well. It was hard to part with and once I noticed it was thing pretty much everywhere, I just had to incorporate it too!
